Rastro Bar-barians

Tournament statistics

Rastro Barbarians are named after our sponsors, the brand spankingly new Rastro Bar located on Calle Mira El Sol, 20 in the Lava Pies barrio of Madrid, which is run by the lovely Guadalupe Sierra and some ginger bearded Liverpudlian fella who goes by the name of Bryn Gorry. They serve a tasty English Breakfast in there Saturday and Sunday mornings and they´re also available for weddings, holy communions, barmitzvahs, post football and pre-football drinking sessions. You may remember Bryn as last years jumping shouting goalie for J&Js FC. https://www.facebook.com/RastroBarMadrid If Rastro Barbarians were a team they would be Southampton of the ´90s, minus Matt Le Tissier. We are however undertaking auditions for Matt Le Tissier lookalikes as you read this. Most of our research is being carried out in the aforementioned Rastro Bar. When was your team formed?:
From the ashes of Dirty Sanchez, formed in 2010, there appeared the shadow of a Phoenix, which turned out to resemble something more like a pigeon, that was called J&Js FC 2011. With the opening of the Rastro Bar in 2012, a new egg has hatched. Let´s see.
Where does your team name come from?:
It was between Rastro Bar Rastrofarians and Rastro Barbarians, so we went with the more merciless/bloodthirsty and less hippy sounding of the two.
What was your team´s best moment in the league?:
That time we won.
What was your team´s worst moment in the league?:
Em... we´ll get back to you.
How would you describe yor team´s style of play?:
Organised chaos. :)
What are your aspirations for this season?:
To do better.
What nationalities do you have in your team:
The team has a strong Irish base, yanks making up the next largest contingent, and with a New Zealander & Spaniard thrown in for good measure.
